The AFBJJ will endeavor to ensure the long life of Brasilian Jiu Jitsu in its natural progression.

It is with great disappointment that for the first time we must suspend a membership for the supply of false and misleading information.
Garry Kewish of De La Riva International has had his membership suspended after it was discovered that he supplied false information regarding his grading history. Carlson Gracie Jr has come forward to confirm that Garry's stated grading history and consequent black belt certification is fraudulent. (see below attached letter from Carlson Gracie Jr.)

Unfortunately we now have an example, to those considering to supply false information for personal gain, of the serious ramifications due.

For enquiries or clarification regarding belt history requirements and grading certification, please feel free to contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it at any time.
